Subsidy for network strengthening diversity and inclusion

Almere is a city for everyone. Still, not all residents have the same opportunities or possibilities to participate. With the grant scheme "Netwerkversterking Diversiteit & Inclusie" (Network Strengthening Diversity & Inclusion), the municipality seeks to fight against exclusion and discrimination.

We support initiatives that contribute to a society in which everyone feels valued and is able to participate. We also pay attention to how a past of colonialism and slavery have brought about inequality that still affects people today.

Do you have a good idea? Then you can apply for a grant.

Think of activities that:

  • Connect people and organisations and build new networks, especially for groups with fewer opportunities
  • Ensure that people who are less visible become more seen and can participate actively
  • Contribute to more understanding and connection between different groups
  • Help people deal better with differences between each other and work against discrimination
  • Help organisations improve their services for everyone, especially for groups who are currently less well served
  • Show how the past still influences people and their opportunities today

Who can apply?

Everyone can apply for a grant: residents as well as organisations. The conditions and procedure can be found in the full regulation.

The maximum grant amount ranges from €15,000 to €30,000, depending on who applies:

  • Residents: up to €15,000
  • Organisations: up to €20,000
  • Collaborations: up to €30,000

A total of €300,000 is available.

Important to know:

  • The budget is limited
  • Applications are processed in the order they are received

This means: first come, first served. When the budget is gone, it’s gone.

What do we need from you?

We keep it simple. Tell us:

  • What you want to do
  • Who you are doing it for
  • What you want to achieve
  • Who you are collaborating with (if applicable)
  • When the activity will take place
  • Sometimes we also ask for a (simple) budget

When?

  • Applications can be submitted until 31 December 2026
  • Your activity may take place until 31 July 2027

How to apply?

In the following quick and easy steps:

  1. Fill in the application form for your idea/activity. Log in with DigiD if you are a private individual; others log in with eHerkenning.
